This dataset contains audio recordings and transcripts of 52 detailed oral histories of participants memories of keeping warm and feeling cold at home from 1945 to the present day (accounts start and end at different points in time within this period depending on their age and preference). The oral history interviews took place in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and Stamford, Lincolnshire and were conducted as part of a larger European project (JUSTHEAT: Looking back to move forward - a social and cultural history of home heating)led by SHU between 2022-2025.
